Thank you for encouraging the love of reading! Books will be sent home with your child upon delivery to school. Because we use Scholastic's My Big World Pre-K Curriculum, this is a chance to supplement your child's classroom learning with engaging, theme-based materials in your home.


Through Scholastic, we subscribe to curriculum-building materials both printed (which are mailed to us monthly), as well as electronic that Cub School teachers utilize when devising their lesson plans.

We encourage all parents to follow along at home as we use Scholastic's My Big World and Let's Find Out publications as our early literature, social studies and science guides, both to which your child is individually subscribed as part of their Cub School registration beginning with their participation in Cubs II (usually started soon after reaching 30 months of age or as space in the class permits). 

Scholastic's theme-based learning programs support Cub school teachers as they develop age-appropriate lesson plans carefully drafted in each Cub classroom weekly, beginning for children just 18 months of age. Remember, you are in no way obliged to purchase supplemental learning materials from Scholastic. As a registered student with The Cub School, we've got your child covered with Scholastic classroom subscriptions to the learning materials they need to thrive academically.
